BPA-Free Baby Bottles

Unlike glass bottles, most mothers prefer plastic bottles primarily for safety reasons. Glass bottles may be free from chemicals but cracks from glass and such related accidents has been one of the concerns. That is why when plastic bottles was released in the market glass bottles' sales decrease dramatically but when buzz on BPA emerge glass bottles seemed to have a come back.

I feel lucky and blessed to be in an era where information is just a click away. Through the help of the internet, I was informed what BPA is. This became my main basis in choosing or buying baby products for my precious one. I became cautious in choosing brands for my baby specially with baby bottles, teats, pacifiers and other baby things.

After reading much from some scientific and not so scientific materials, I learned that BPA also known as Bisphenol A is a dangerous chemical compound. Researchers found that it has negative effects to humans, specially to babies after prolonged exposure; Thus, a law has been passed banning it's use in baby bottles and other baby products.

After such concern has been raised manufacturers stopped the use of bisphenol A in all types of plastic baby bottles and recalled released products. Now, BPA-Free Products are available in the market. They are easily identifiable by their tags or labels that says "BPA-Free." Mothers can breathe calmly knowing that their baby is sucking on a harmful chemical free bottle. Here are some of the manufacturers that manufacture BPA-free bottles are:
1. BornFree 2. The Breastflow3. Medela4. Tommee Tippee5. Philips AVENT
Just like any informed mother, I always check first for the "BPA-Free" label before buying. For my baby I choose Philips AVENT BPA Free Classic Infant Starter.
